Community members are invited to participate in an online survey to gather input on Whatcom County’s food system and proposed goals for a revised food plan. It also addresses policies, influences, and imbalances. Survey online.

Whatcom Racial Equity Commission Public Engagement Survey. Deadline: July 1, 2022

The City of Bellingham and Whatcom County have partnered with the Chuckanut Health Foundation to develop recommendations for the scope and structure of a proposed Whatcom Racial Equity Commission, expected to be presented to the City and County councils for consideration by Fall 2022. This work is in service to the goal of creating a Whatcom County where every person is able to live, thrive, and belong for who they are, as they are, regardless of race. Survey online.

Jail planning. Deadline: Late 2022

YOUR PROPERTY TAXES

How much do I pay, and where does the money go? Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan counties report how much each jurisdiction collects in property taxes, and how much each individual pays, depending on where they live and the value of their property.

Civic agenda is published weekly on Thursdays. Send items to EricTrent@cascadiadaily.com.
