The Lake Whatcom Triathlon serves as the only Olympic-distance triathlon in the county but also offers several other options for participants, including a sprint course, aquabike and a splash and dash for kids.

The sprint-distance race includes a half-mile swim, 16.4-mile bike ride and 4-mile run compared to the Olympic distance offering a 0.9-mile swim, 24.9-mile bike and 6.2-mile run.
