Nooksack Valley shuts out Mount Baker on the road

Pioneers down Mountaineers, 2-0

Nooksack Valley earned its second shutout of the season with a 2-0 win over Mount Baker on Monday, March 25 at Mount Baker High School.

Juniors Isaac Lind and Brian Marcelino-Ramirez scored the Pioneers’ goals in the victory, moving NV to 2-3 overall on the season and 2-0 in Northwest Conference play. Mount Baker (0-1) dropped its season opener.

Next up for NV is a road match against Lynden (3-4-1, 1-2-0 NWC) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28. Mount Baker’s next game will be at home versus Meridian (2-2-0) on the same date and time.
