Bellingham City Council

Council will discuss at 11 a.m. and vote at 7 p.m. on whether to award the West Illinois Street improvement project to Dawson Construction at a cost of $3.49 million. The project, slated to begin in March, would make bicycle and pedestrian improvements, and add a roundabout at Illinois and Meridian streets.

Council will discuss and possibly vote on an ordinance to suspend future meetings of the Immigration Advisory Board, which has been providing input on a potential new Immigrant Resource Center.

Proposed expansion of Bellingham’s transit station. Deadline: 2024

Whatcom Transportation Authority is accepting written comment through its Engage WTA website on a proposal to expand Bellingham Station, to allow room for more buses and additional public uses. Survey online.
