As of 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, portions of Railroad Trail between St. Clair Street through Woburn Street have opened back up after police had conducted an earlier investigation related to a death.

Police were around the area of Barkley Boulevard during the course of the investigation. A section of the trail was closed for a time.

Megan Peters, the public information officer for BPD, said there is not a known threat to the public.

The trail segment was taped off and officers were in the area to make sure people didn’t go past the police tape, Peters wrote in an email.

A CDN reporter near the area at the time of the closure around 3:30 p.m. said they could see several emergency vehicles near the trail access point between St. Clair and Barkley Village.
