Western Washington University athletics is reintroducing the Junior Viking Kids Club for ages 12 and under.
Children can now sign up for the 2024-25 Junior Viking program for $35 (additional kids are $20) to gain admission to all of Western’s home games, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, cross country, and track and field (postseason not included).
The Junior Viking Kids Club is returning after it fizzled out prior to the pandemic due to marketing changes and the construction of the new Carver Gym.
“We are excited to bring this program back and welcome all our Junior Vikings back to our events to watch the Vikings in action,” Western’s Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing Gabbie Ewing said in a news release.
In addition to free admission, the Junior Viking program gives access to a Junior Viking membership card, T-shirt, a chance to meet the student-athletes and coaches, monthly newsletter and exclusive event opportunities, including autograph sessions.
“I’ve been wanting this for a while,” said Jeff Evans, assistant director for Athletic Communications.
