Sehome boys soccer edges Squalicum in rivalry clash

Seniors Sam Bell and Reiley Buri-Brown each scored goals for Sehome boys soccer and the Mariners held off rival Squalicum for a 2-1 win in Northwest Conference action Monday night, April 22 at Squalicum High School.

Unbeaten Sehome (12-0-1, 8-0-1 NWC) handed Squalicum (9-4-0- 7-1-0 NWC) its first league loss, and the Mariners move into first place in the league standings.

Junior Sebastian Cruz Gonzalez scored the Storm’s lone goal on the night.

Sehome will next host Burlington-Edison (7-4-1, 5-1-1, NWC) at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. Squalicum hosts Bellingham (9-3-0, 5-2-0 NWC) at noon on Saturday.
