Body found on State Route 20 identified

Cause and manner of death remain under investigation

A body found on State Route 120 near milepost 150 on March 20 was identified as 52-year-old William Summer.

Washington State Patrol responded to a report of a body discovered by a Washington State Department of Transportation employee during seasonal cleaning between Ross Dam Trailhead and Silver Star Gate.

The Skagit County Coroner’s Office positively identified Summer on Tuesday, April 16, according to a news release by the Washington State Patrol. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
