Miraculous Braidz & Beauty closed its downtown Bellingham location at 1517 Cornwall Ave. on Monday, April 1.
Owner Miracle Jones opened the Cornwall Avenue store in October 2020. In 2023, she expanded to the mall with a kiosk to sell products and braid hair but moved into a storefront in Bellis Fair mall in January 2024.
Jones said she closed the downtown store because she became too busy at the Bellis Fair mall location to handle both.
“There’s so much more foot traffic,” Jones said about the mall location compared to the downtown location.
Now, with the downtown location closed and a bit more time on her hands, Jones said she hopes to continue to expand the mall location offerings.
