Shortly after 7 a.m. Friday, March 24, Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a man shot in the face in Kendall.

Deputies arrived at the 6100 block of Hawthorne Place around 7:30 a.m. and provided medical attention, according to a March 24 sheriff’s office news release.

Along with Bellingham Police Department, the Bearcat armored vehicle, Sumas Police Department, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, law enforcement used an “unmanned aerial vehicle drone” to locate a second man who was also injured during the altercation.

Both men were transported to the hospital. The case is under investigation and police said there is no danger to the public.

This is a developing story. More information will be added when it is available.
