The Bellingham Bells continued to slow from their dominance in the first half of the season, going 3-3 in their last six games and dropping two of a three-game series at the Cowlitz Black Bears July 17–19 at Story Field. The West Coast League North Division first-half champions are 4-8 since July 7 (24-15 overall) and are currently four games behind the division-leading Wenatchee AppleSox (28-11).
