Sub-30 degree temperatures and high winds bring rain, snow

After several weeks of unseasonably mild weather, winter has returned to Whatcom County as high winds and low temperatures threaten to pummel communities around Western Washington.  Winds between 25 and 35 miles per hour were expected to hit Bellingham Tuesday night, with projected gusts up to 50 mph, according to a wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service in Seattle. The advisory will take effect at 10 p.m. tonight and will remain in place until 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.&nbs
