Whatcom Transportation Authority is accepting written comment through its Engage WTA website on a proposal to expand Bellingham Station, to allow room for more buses and additional public uses.
Public survey on “The Bellingham Plan,” ongoing
Bellingham’s update to the city’s Comprehensive Plan, which guides development, capital investments and city programs, is due in 2025. The city is seeking input from community members on how implementation of the current plan (last updated in 2016) is going, and what else they’d like to see in Bellingham as the community grows.

The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office is asking for public comments on proposed changes to the way grant applications for parks, trails and other outdoor spaces are evaluated. The changes would affect grants in the Aquatic Lands Enhancement Account, Land and Water Conservation Fund, Youth Athletic Facilities and the state’s largest grant program for parks and trails — the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program’s Local Parks, Trails, and Water Access categories. Bellingham is updating its Comprehensive Plan, the document it uses to guide growth toward a 20-year vision for the future. This update is due in 2025 and will guide development, capital investments, city programs and other actions across the city as it works toward its vision for 2045. Survey online.
