Two brothers were arrested April 6 in connection with a March 24 shooting in Kendall that injured one of the brothers and a victim, Whatcom County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Rodger Funk said.

James Franklin Gamble, 34, and Christopher David Gamble, 31, were both arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, and first-degree robbery, and they each face additional charges.

Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office put out a plea for the public’s help finding the suspects on March 28.

Shortly after noon on April 6, Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies located the brothers in the 4700 block of South Pass Road after “following up on investigative leads,” Funk said in an April 7 email. Sumas Police Department aided in the arrest. Both men were taken into custody without incident and booked into Whatcom County Jail.
