COMMENT AND PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Puget Sound Partnership Environmental Checklist and DNS Public Comment. Deadline: May 31, 2022

The Puget Sound Partnership (PSP) has completed environmental review of the draft 2022-2026 Action Agenda Update in advance of the planned adoption of the Action Agenda by the Leadership Council in June. PSP completed an Environmental Checklist on the proposed Action Agenda Update and determined that the proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. Therefore, PSP has issued a Determination of Non-Significance. Submit comments.

The Bellingham Public Library has engaged Godfrey’s Associates, Inc., a public library consulting firm, to assist in planning for the future. Survey online.

Bellingham Urban Forestry Management Plan. Deadline: June 15, 2022

The City of Bellingham is seeking public input to guide how our community manages and enhances the trees and forests that makeup Bellingham’s urban forest. Survey online May 9.

Bellingham Consolidated Plan. Deadline: June 30, 2022

Every 5 years the city must create a plan to prioritize how it will spend funding to best address homelessness, affordable housing and the lack of childcare issues. Before making this plan, the City would like to hear from the community. Survey online. 

Whatcom County Food System Committee Survey. Deadline: July 1, 2022

Community members are invited to participate in an online survey to gather input on Whatcom County’s food system and proposed goals for a revised food plan. The food system is a network of people and activities connecting production, transformation (processing), distribution, consumption, and food waste management. It also addresses policies, influences, and imbalances. Survey online.

Jail planning. Deadline: Late 2022

The Whatcom County Justice Project’s Stakeholder Advisory Committee is accepting comments at SAC@co.whatcom.wa.us on a new jail and associated behavioral health services, as long as the committee continues to meet.
