Mount Baker, Meridian, Nooksack Valley, Lynden and Blaine girls wrestlers competed at the 1B/2B/1A/2A North Sub-Regional Girls Wrestling Tournament at Squalicum High School on Feb. 4.

The Mountaineers finished first as a team with all 13 of their wrestlers advancing to regional tournaments. In total, 36 Whatcom County athletes advanced from the tournament while seven took first in their weight class.
