Western Washington University volleyball ended the regular season with a straight-set loss (25-20, 25-19, 25-22) to No. 20 Central Washington University in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action at Carver Gym on Saturday, Nov. 18.

The Vikings (12-14, 12-6) end the regular season in third place in the GNAC standings.

Against Central, Devyn Oestreich was the lone Viking in double-digit kills with 10, while Emily Vossenkuhl added seven, and Delaney Speer and Janelle Grant each had six.








Speer added a team-high 14 digs, while Caroline Hansen and Adele Holland each dished out a team-high 14 assists. Meridian alum Finnley Claeys finished with seven digs and an ace.

Western's lone senior, Kylie Honrud of Ferndale, was honored before the match.

The Vikings have not yet clinched a postseason berth to West Regionals. Eight teams will advance to regionals and Western is currently ranked No. 12 in the region.

The eight postseason teams will be announced at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20.
