The Bellingham Bells will be ringing this postseason. With a current record of 17-6, the Bells have already clinched the West Coast League North Division first-half championship.

Three games remain in the first half of the season and the Bells are ahead of the Kamloops NorthPaws by four games in the standings.

Division leaders at the halfway point and end of the season automatically earn playoff bids. The West Coast League also awards two wild card playoff spots to the team with the second-best overall record from each division.

Winning the first-half championship gives the Bells the No. 1 seed out of the North. They’ll play the North’s No. 4 seed — which will be determined by the end of the regular season — in a three-game series starting Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The first game of the series will be played on the road. Bellingham will host on Aug. 10, and, if necessary, Aug. 11.

The winner of that series will move on to play the winner of the North’s No. 2 and No. 3 seed in a one-game playoff with a chance to advance to the West Coast League championship game.

Date, time and location for any playoff games beyond the first series are still to be determined.
