Sehome claims top team, individual spots at Lake Padden

Wes Bothel wins playoff for highest individual finish

Most of the Whatcom County boys golf teams hit the Lake Padden Golf Course Thursday with Sehome’s Wes Bothel and Ferndale’s Baylor Larrabee putting a dramatic end to the day with a playoff for the top spot.

Larrabee and Bothel tied on the first hole of the playoff, but Bothel came out on top on the second, claiming the top individual spot. Bothel and Larrabee both shot a 71 across 18 holes.

Sehome also claimed first place as a team with a score of 403. Lynden finished second with a 414, Ferndale was third with a 439 and Meridian placed fourth with a score of 443.

Behind Bothel and Larrabee was Lynden’s Jordan Medcalf in third who shot a 72. Bellingham’s Alec Jamieson and Lynden’s Logan Medcalf tied for fourth with scores of 76.
