Eight teams in the Whatcom County Softball League gathered for a game at the Lummi Nation Community Park and Ball Fields for a set of doubleheaders Tuesday, Oct. 10. The league has nearly 50 active teams during the summertime before the “diehard” players are left in the fall and winter, league board member Terry Stach said.
