CDN launches trivia at Red Star Taco Bar

Join us at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20; $2 cash buy-in per player; teams of up to five

Join us at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20 for the inaugural Cascadia Daily News trivia at Red Star Taco Bar on State Street in Bellingham.

CDN journalists will take turns hosting trivia every Monday, which aligns with Margarita Monday, meaning deals on drinks. See Red Star’s menu for more details.

Players should expect a $2 cash buy-in per person, with a maximum of five people per team. Cash and other prizes will be awarded to the first- and second-place teams each week. Rounds will mostly be general knowledge, with questions catered toward some major holidays or events. (For instance, a few presidential-themed questions may be peppered into the Jan. 20 trivia due to Inauguration Day.)

The final round will always be local news-themed, so brush up on what’s been happening in your community in the last week before trivia. Look for a hint each week in our Friday print edition on page A2.

This week’s clue: An answer to one of the questions can be found in the story titled “Bayou on Bay to close this March.”

(Future clues will only be available in the print paper.)

See you there.

Info: CDN trivia takes place at 7 p.m. every Monday at Red Star Taco Bar, 1327 N. State St.
