Clayton Alva Medeiros completed his final journey peacefully at Lynden Manor – Memory Care with additional compassionate support from Whatcom Hospice and Threshold Singers.

Clayton was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts and raised by his mother and her siblings. After graduating from the University of Connecticut, he obtained a masters degree in Urban Planning from NYU.

Clayton’s employers included the American Cancer Society, Governor Bill Clinton, Stanford University, Yale New Haven Health System and GE. A futurist, his focus was strategic planning.

Clayton loved to travel and celebrate life. He fondly told stories of his Peace Corps work in Peru. Frequent visits to Ashland, New York and London to enjoy theatre and supervising sunsets on Kauai were favorite pastimes. Clayton’s many talents included photography, creating poetry and collages.

Clayton is survived by two children, two step-children and their spouses, two step-grandchildren, two former wives and the love of his life.
