UPDATE: Crash cleared on southbound I-5 north of Sunset Drive

Crews cleared the wreck around 6:15 p.m. Friday

A car crash that blocked the right lane of southbound Interstate 5 near exit 256, north of Sunset Drive, and creating a backup to exit 258, was cleared as of 6:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3.

Incident Response teams, Washington State Patrol and fire crews were on the scene near milepost 255, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. WSDOT warned drivers to expect delays in the area.

This comes after a left-lane blockage on Interstate 5 south of Iowa Street created a two-mile backup earlier Friday.
