Update: Vulnerable adult who went missing Saturday found safe

Thomas Morrison walked away from a Bellingham care facility Feb. 22

A vulnerable man who went missing after he walked away from a Bellingham care facility Saturday, Feb. 22, was found safe riding a Whatcom Transportation Authority bus later in the day.

Thomas Morrison, 71, left a facility in the 4600 block of Cordata Parkway around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a social media post from BPD.

He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, blue denim jacket and dark sweatpants. He is 5-foot-7 and weighs around 122 pounds, according to BPD.

Morrison is considered medically fragile, having sustained a traumatic brain injury and is diagnosed with dementia. He moves slowly.
