Hip-hop lovers are in for a nostalgic treat at this year’s Northwest Washington Fair. On Friday, Aug. 15, three iconic names from the ‘90s and early 2000s will take the stage for a Hip-Hop Throwback Night, presented as part of the Bank of the Pacific Grandstand Entertainment Series.
According to the fair’s social media, Howard “Chingy” Bailey Jr., Ginuwine and the Ying Yang Twins will perform “throwback songs you know and love.” Ginuwine is remembered for his 1996 chart-topper, “Pony,” which experienced renewed popularity after being featured in the 2012 movie “Magic Mike.”
Tickets to Hip-Hop Throwback Night go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, although subscribers to the Northwest Washington Fair’s newsletter receive early access on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
This year’s fair runs Aug. 7–16, and tickets are already available for Chandler Moore (contemporary worship music, Aug. 14) and Jake Owen (country, Aug. 13). Show tickets can be purchased at nwwafair.com and do not include gate admission.
