Class 1A Nooksack Valley (3-3) has two losses this season, 70-69 against Class 2A Lakewood and 55-45 to Class 3A Ferndale. The Pioneers have showcased their talent in the paint with their larger players Brady Ackerman and Tristan Kamphouse. On the other hand, Class 1B Lummi (8-0) has a fast-paced offense that has scored 66 points per game.
WWU Women’s Basketball vs. Quincy

Western will be on the road during the winter break, but will continue to compete against high-quality talent. The Vikings have won four of their last five games while Quincy (6-4) has lost three of its last four matchups.
Santa Ice Skate
11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Bellingham Sportsplex
The Santa Ice Skate is a family-friendly event before Christmas arrives. For $10 per skater, each participant will be given rental skates, hot cocoa and the opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or 2–4 p.m.
