Council members will select a council president and assign themselves to various committees and boards at its annual reorganization meeting.

Public Health Advisory Board, 7 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 509 Girard St., Bellingham or Zoom

The board consists of public-health experts and consumers of health services, and advises Whatcom County Health and Community Services.

Greenways Advisory Committee, 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 210 Lottie St., Bellingham or Zoom
The committee makes recommendations to city staff and council for the allocation of Greenways levy funds.

Bellingham could grow in a variety of ways. Let the City of Bellingham know the pros and cons of each of the listed approaches on its individual comment boards. Add pros and cons (or up-vote someone else’s comment). Go to this webpage and scroll halfway down to see the comment boards.

Proposed expansion of Bellingham’s transit station. Deadline: 2023

Whatcom Transportation Authority is accepting written comment through its Engage WTA website on a proposal to expand Bellingham Station, to allow room for more buses and additional public uses. Survey online.
