Coupeville-Port Townsend ferry out of service until further notice

'Unscheduled maintenance' stops service Wednesday

The Salish Ferry, which runs the popular route between Coupeville and Port Townsend, is out of service until further notice as of Wednesday afternoon due to “unscheduled maintenance.”

Alternative routes include the Edmonds-Kingston and Mukilteo-Clinton ferries.

All existing reservation holders will not be charged a no-show fee and no new reservations are available for the route, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The Salish sailed its 6:30 a.m. route Wednesday morning, but the 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. ferries were canceled due to tide. Afternoon schedules were cleared for “vessel repairs,” then evening schedules noted the vessel was out of service.
